Who is Therapy for?

Therapy is often misunderstood, surrounded by myths and misconceptions. The largest and most prevalent myth, is that only folks with severe mental health issues need therapy. In reality, therapy is for anyone seeking support, guidance, and personal growth. Often, clients see me for therapy and do not have any mental health conditions.  They simply want to learn more about themselves through therapy.

Therapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. It is a journey of self – exploration, where folks gain insights into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The therapist and the client work together to create positive coping skills, gain acceptance for elements in their life which are out of their control, work toward positive change, increase sense of empowerment, and develop a greater sense of self-awareness.  This ultimately leads to a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Therapy is for anyone seeking any self exploration and greater insight.
