Hi, my name is Linnae Allen (they/them). I am currently in a Master’s program studying Counseling Psychology and plan to pursue licensure as an LPC in the future. I have lived in Philly for 5+ years and have been in Pennsylvania for my whole life. I work from a systems-based approach, considering how those systems affect a client’s wellbeing and mental health. I am excited to support clients on their individual journeys [in service of healing, wellness, etc]!
I have experience working with clients in a case manager and intake coordinator role and will utilize some of the relevant tools I learned from those positions in my work with clients. I chose this career path because I have always had a passion for helping people and know that therapists do just that. The overall objective of therapy is for client(s) to gain skills, support and resources to work through the problems in their lives and update their goals for what they would like to work on.
I have experience working with children ages 6-14 and adults ages 21-50+ in community worker and case manager roles. I am looking forward to working with clients who are LGBTQ+ black and brown people, the LGBTQ+ community at large, and neurodivergent clients. I know how important it is to find a therapist who understands your life experience and can also relate to you. I hope to be that person for my clients!
