Hi! I’m Holly (she/they), a student therapist currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work. I moved to Philadelphia in 2017 to attend Temple University and have called it home ever since. My path into the mental health field began in 2020, when I started volunteering with The Trevor Project, providing crisis intervention to LGBTQ+ youth on the organization’s crisis line. That experience sparked my interest in the field and led me to a five-year role in community-based psychiatric rehabilitation. In that role, I supported individuals in recovery through individual sessions and group facilitation, which included life skills, psychoeducation, and peer support groups.
As a member of the queer community, I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I led an LGBTQ+ support group in my psychiatric rehabilitation role. I also have a strong interest in working with neurodivergent clients and strive to create therapy spaces that are inclusive, affirming, and accessible. I have also worked in the service industry for the past ten years. My years in the service industry shaped my understanding of stress, burnout, and emotional labor that comes with working in the industry.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve on the board of Project S.A.V.E., a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that provides resources, support, and mental health services to survivors of domestic violence. I believe that healing is deeply connected to justice, community, and the ability to show up fully as ourselves.
I value intersectionality as a core guiding principle in my work. I recognize that systems of power and identity intersect in unique ways that influence each person’s mental health journey. I aim to hold space for these complexities with care and intentionality. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that both professional training and lived experience can be powerful tools for connection and healing.
