Hi, I’m Amber Hollman (she/her), a student therapist currently working toward a masters in Marriage and Family therapy. I received my BS in Psychology from Thomas Jefferson University, and have lived in Philadelphia for the past 5 years.
With an added focus on gender and health studies in my minor, I was drawn to the deeper understanding of the intersections of identity that impact individual mental health, as well as within one’s culture and community. Trained as a systemic thinker I hold importance in looking beyond the superficial and searching for generational influence of behavior and response, the complexities each person brings with them both conscious and subconscious.
As a queer woman I am passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, and I welcome any individual, couple or family structure seeking a safe, inclusive space where you can feel free to share and be heard. Whether topics may surround sexuality, relational issues, exploration beyond the binary of gender, societal/familial expectation, or any life adjustments, I aim to come forward in this collaboration with curiosity in a way that is nonjudgmental and
personable.
Within this therapeutic journey It is my goal to support and empower you in your own autonomy and choices, and aid in fostering connections within your family system.
